Was going to do a couple MP miles today but the Saturday cold/wet run seems to have flared up my stupid tendon-bum-itis on the left side so I slowed things down. Thinking I'll not do anymore running until Saturday and then may have to change my plans of trying for a sub 3:30 and BQ. Poor wimpy old-man body of mine is falling to pieces.

Tom, your ready. You have had a great training cycle so just trust what you have done over the last 4 to 5 months and let her rip on Saturday.

I'm sad I won't be able to watch a little BYU football with you this weekend and also watch the Priesthood session with you.

Now about the marathon. I want you to go for the sub 3:30. If you get to mile 10 and you can tell it's not happening then re-adjust and go for 3:35. The thing I don't want to hear is you giving up in the middle of the race and loafing it in or waiting for the beautiful Kim. I want to know what the best you had in you on marathon day even if it isn't great. I want a real race from you whatever the time ends up being. Always pushing always trying to get the best time your body will deliver. GO TEAM!!
