Got up at the regular time (around 5:30) but didn't actually start running until just before 8 as decided to make the drive to Antelope Island to join in on the Buffalo Run training run. Quite the perfect weather with temps in the 40's making shorts and shirt just dandy. Gotta love that in December I doubt it will last much longer. Saw some buffalo and enjoyed the run and scenery. The lake looked amazing, smooth as glass. Only downer was the face-plant I did a mile and a half before the end. Seemed to have survived it without life threatening injuries.

Don't be thinking you're getting some kind of home court advantage. I lived a mile from the entrance to Antelope Island in Clearfield back in the day.

Oh oh you're on to me Terry. Hey did you get the email about the monthly training runs that the race director puts on for this Buffalo run? First Saturday of every month. Jan will be around 20 miles I think. You need to come do these, I've been surprised how much harder trail miles are compared to asphalt miles and also surprised how many hills there are in this race. I'm actually getting nervous about being able to finish the 50, I was pretty worn out after only 16.
